Kristen M. Lusby, CVT, RDCS, RDMS

Owner of Pet Ultrasound Partners

Kristen Lusby grew up in northern Arizona, where her love for animals was clear from a young age. At 17, she began her journey in veterinary care as a kennel technician, quickly advancing to a veterinary technician role by 19. Over the next 15 years, Kristen gained extensive experience in emergency, critical care, and specialty medicines, including cardiology.

Driven by a passion for expanding diagnostic care for animals, Kristen returned to school to pursue a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She earned her RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) credentials, solidifying her expertise in both general and cardiac imaging.

Today, Kristen works as a cardiac sonographer, blending her deep veterinary experience with advanced ultrasound skills. She is dedicated to making high-quality diagnostic imaging more accessible, especially in rural communities where specialty medicines are often out of reach. By partnering directly with clinics, Kristen provides crucial insights that help veterinarians offer faster, more accurate diagnoses without the need for costly specialty referrals.

Kristen believes that combining her background as a veterinary technician with her training in sonography creates powerful advantages for pets and their owners. Her goal is to bridge the gap between human and veterinary diagnostics—delivering advanced imaging that improves outcomes, reduces unnecessary testing, and enhances the quality of care for every patient.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and caring for her two cats and backyard flock of hens. She finds joy in the science and beauty of ultrasound and is committed to bringing its life-changing possibilities to veterinary medicine.
